So Many Firsts.

I don't know that it has fully sunken in that I live here now, I don't know when it will. But little by little I'm starting to see my daily life here take shape. I love walking down to the little cafes and such at the end of our street. We went grocery shopping at Colruyt (local grocery store) for the first time and have started cooking meals (probably many omelets and pasta dishes in my future). Can't wait to go to a market and get some fresh produce!
Yesterday we had our first class with Dr. Nelsen to prepare for our test today, yes a test on our first Saturday here - typical, Furman! I don't feel like I should have to do work here. We also went to register for classes at Vesalius; I am set to take Development Economics (!) and Corporate Communications and PR (mostly because it fits with my schedule - woohoo Fridays off to travel)! While it was good to get the classes in order, even more eventful was the walk home; Sara Beth and I had our first belgian waffle. Yum. Sucre d'orge provided a great first experience, I am certain we'll be faithful customers. Sorry bridesmaid dress.
Anyway off to look over a few notes before the exam gets emailed to us! Luckily we did get to fit in a tour of Brussels today arranged by VeCo. It was definitely a less than ideal bus tour but it left me wanting to explore more of Brussels - the Palais Royal, Museum of Fine Arts, pretty parks with willow trees, etc!
Final note: It's August 27th, it's already cold.

Ok, cold is a big exaggeration, but this is gonna be rough winter. But so worth it.
